Kia Telluride 2027 UAE: Price, Launch & Specs
8 min read

The Kia Telluride 2027 UAE launch has not been dated yet. In the US the second-generation SUV went on sale in the first quarter of 2026. Here, Al Majid Motors' official Kia UAE site still sells the outgoing 3.8-litre V6 from AED 171,045. If you're shopping for a seven-seat family SUV in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah now, the question is whether to buy the proven V6 or wait for a bigger Telluride with a turbocharged four-cylinder or hybrid engine. This guide sets out what Kia has confirmed and what it hasn't, and what that means for your budget.

What Is the 2027 Kia Telluride?

The 2027 Telluride is the first full redesign since the model launched in 2019. Kia announced it on 10 November 2025, ahead of its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Its official press release calls it Kia's flagship petrol-powered SUV and says the new body is 2.3 inches longer, about an inch taller and has a wheelbase stretched by nearly three inches. Most of that extra room goes to the second and third rows, which are also easier to get in and out of.

The biggest change is under the bonnet. The naturally aspirated 3.8-litre V6 that UAE buyers know is gone from the US line-up. It is replaced by a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder and, for the first time, a hybrid. The cabin gains a rear console that converts into a table and a reconfigurable cargo area. Kia says select trims are assembled in the United States, at its West Point, Georgia plant.

Motor1 reports a 116.9-inch (about 2,969 mm) wheelbase and an overall length of 199.2 inches (about 5,060 mm). Seating is for seven or eight across three rows. Cargo space is 22.3 cubic feet behind the third row, 46.3 with it folded and 86.9 behind the front seats. The hybrid uses a 1.65 kWh lithium-ion battery. Kia's US estimate is 35 mpg combined and roughly 600 miles of range, but those are US test figures, not UAE ones.

The dashboard has two 12.3-inch screens, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. The off-road X-Pro trim gets all-wheel drive as standard, an electronic limited-slip differential, all-terrain tyres and 9.1 inches (about 231 mm) of ground clearance. Wheel sizes range from 18 to 21 inches. Kia has not yet detailed the new generation's driver-assistance package.

UAE Launch Date and Distributor

Kia has not announced a UAE launch date. Al Majid Motors, the official distributor, still lists the current Telluride without a "New" label. Its range menu shows no register-interest page for the second generation. DriveArabia's UAE price guide marks the Telluride as "Coming soon", and ZigWheels UAE shows the Telluride Hybrid with an expected launch of January 2027. Both are trade-site estimates, not statements from Kia or Al Majid.

Until Al Majid publishes a date, any month you see quoted is a guess.

Expected UAE Price

No official UAE price exists for the 2027 Telluride. The only verified figure is for the model on sale today: the 3.8 V6 Telluride starts from AED 171,045 on Kia UAE's site. That is the current model's price, not a forecast. DriveArabia shows an estimated AED 159,495 for the coming model. It is labelled as an estimate, so don't budget on it.

For context, Kelley Blue Book reports a US starting price of $40,735 including destination. US prices don't convert directly into UAE prices. To see what a monthly payment on either figure looks like, try the car loan calculator.

GCC Specs and Summer Heat

The powertrain choice matters more in the Gulf than elsewhere. Today's GCC Telluride uses the 3.8-litre V6, rated at 291 hp with 36.2 kg·m of torque on Kia UAE's grade tables. Kia has not said whether GCC buyers will get the 2.5T, the hybrid, or a carried-over V6. Read any article that states a GCC engine as fact with caution. Our explainer on GCC specs versus American specs covers why regional cooling and filtration packages matter.

Three points apply until Kia confirms the details. First, a turbocharged engine and a hybrid battery both depend on cooling, and US figures are not measured at 45°C-plus ambient temperatures. Second, the 35 mpg and 600-mile hybrid estimates come from US testing and will fall with constant air-conditioning use. Third, a heavily loaded family SUV towing in summer is where a smaller turbo engine works hardest. Ask for GCC towing ratings before signing.

Pathfinder figures: Nissan Middle East.

The closest rival is the refreshed Nissan Pathfinder. It keeps a 3.5-litre V6 with a nine-speed automatic and up to eight seats, and starts about AED 13,000 below the Telluride V6. The Teramont is priced almost level with the Kia. The Santa Fe and Sorento cost roughly AED 40,000 less but are smaller. The new Hyundai Palisade, the Telluride's sister car, is also marked "Coming soon" on DriveArabia. If you want a V6 and eight seats now, the Pathfinder is the value pick. If you want the biggest cabin and newest tech, the new Telluride is worth waiting for.

Buy Now or Wait?

Wait if you want hybrid economy, the larger cabin and dual-screen tech, and can live with an unconfirmed date and price. Buy now if you need a seven-seater this winter or want a proven naturally aspirated V6 for desert heat.

Buying used is the cheapest route. CarsClub currently has four Kia Telluride listings from 2020 to 2023, priced from AED 59,000 to AED 147,000. That is well below the AED 171,045 new price. Check what yours is worth with the Kia Telluride valuation tool, or compare the Nissan Pathfinder listings. One warning: once a new generation arrives, the outgoing model's resale value usually softens. If you buy a V6 now, plan to keep it.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the 2027 Kia Telluride launching in the UAE?

Kia and its UAE distributor, Al Majid Motors, have not announced a date. The US launch was in the first quarter of 2026. Trade sites estimate a UAE arrival around early 2027, and ZigWheels shows January 2027 for the hybrid, but no official confirmation exists. Kia UAE currently still sells the 3.8 V6 Telluride.

What will the new Kia Telluride cost in the UAE?

No UAE price has been announced. The current V6 Telluride starts from AED 171,045 on Kia UAE's official site. DriveArabia lists an estimate of AED 159,495 for the new model, but that is an estimate. In the US, Kelley Blue Book reports the 2027 model starts at $40,735 including destination.

Does the 2027 Kia Telluride still have a V6?

Not in the US. There it uses a 2.5-litre turbo four-cylinder with 274 hp, or a hybrid with 329 hp combined. Kia has not confirmed which engines GCC models will get, so a V6 carry-over for the Gulf is neither confirmed nor ruled out. The current UAE Telluride uses a 291 hp 3.8 V6.

Is the Kia Telluride Hybrid coming to the UAE?

Kia has not officially confirmed it for the UAE. ZigWheels UAE lists the Telluride Hybrid with an expected launch of January 2027 and quotes 329 hp, but that is a trade-site estimate. In the US the hybrid pairs a 2.5-litre turbo with a 1.65 kWh battery and a six-speed automatic.

What are the main rivals to the Kia Telluride in the UAE?

The Nissan Pathfinder, Volkswagen Teramont, Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento are all on sale now. The Pathfinder starts from AED 158,000 with a 271 hp V6 and up to eight seats. The new-generation Hyundai Palisade, which shares much of the Telluride's engineering, is also listed as coming soon in the UAE.

Should I wait for the new Telluride or buy the current one?

Wait if you want the hybrid, more space and newer tech, and can accept an unknown launch date and price. Buy now if you need a seven-seater immediately. A used 2020 to 2023 Telluride on CarsClub costs from AED 59,000, far below the AED 171,045 new price.

Conclusion

The Kia Telluride 2027 UAE debut is confirmed in spirit but not on paper. The bigger cabin and hybrid option are real, while the GCC engine, date and price are still unknown. If you can't wait, the current V6 is a proven buy, especially used.
