An online valuation is an estimate, and any tool that claims otherwise is overselling. What separates a useful estimate from a guess is what it is built on: a fixed depreciation formula knows nothing about your car, while a price read off live local listings knows what buyers in this market are being asked for the same thing this week.
We show you the sample size behind every valuation. If your car is priced against 40 comparable listings we say so, and if it is priced against three we say that too, and we widen the range to match. A final price still depends on the inspection, the paperwork and the day you sell.
GCC spec cars are built for this climate: bigger radiators and cooling packs, higher grade air conditioning, dust and sand sealing, and a warranty the local dealer will honour. An imported American car often has none of that, and the service history usually starts the day it landed.
In practice UAE buyers price American spec around 25% below the GCC equivalent, Japanese imports around 12% below and European imports around 17% below. Those are the adjustments this calculator applies, and it applies them only when your car is being compared against cars of a different spec.
The UAE benchmark is about 20,000 km a year, which is higher than Europe because of the distances people commute here. A car sitting on that line is priced normally.
Every 1,000 km above what is typical for that car costs roughly AED 150, and every 1,000 km below it adds about the same. The adjustment is capped at 20% of the value in either direction, because past a point an odometer reading stops being the thing that decides the price.
